Fashion Alert...............Dana Davis..........The Safety Dance!

You're probably looking at the subtitle to this wonderful post and asking yourself, "the safety dance?"....Has lucky finally lost his mind? No, I haven't. In fact this very essence of the new collection from Dana Davis is based on one thing..safety for your feet....There are over 50 bones and lord knows how many ligaments in your feet alone, yet everyday you see women who take their shoes off to rub those "ole dogs" (yes that term applies to women as well)...What I love about this collection is not just the safety precautions which the brand has taken, but the attention to style while keeping a close eye on the safety details.

Here is an excerpt from the Dana Davis website and do remember to check out the pics below:

"Dana Davis is a revolutionary new salon collection that melds luxury styling with innovative comfort technology. Named for the company’s owner Dana Davis, the brand was inspired by her quest to find exquisite, fashion-forward shoes that would reflect the most sophisticated designer tastes and still support the health of the wearer. The Dana Davis brand is based on the belief that cutting-edge style and comfort are not mutually exclusive; the chic, design-driven silhouettes are handcrafted in Italy with a focus on luxury, high-fashion elegance and meticulous construction.

Dana has joined forces with leading foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Bob Baravarian, who has engineered each style in the collection from the inside out with strategic cushioning, customized arch supports and built-in or removable orthotics".

Visual Orgasm for today..........Daft Punk- Technologic

My ear is so diversed.........and I looooooove it. As I'm typing away this early morning, I am listening to Californication (SICK ALBUM), and thinking of a video to describe my sanity lately. The first image is of words popping up showing my thoughts....what better video than the skinless Chucky doll, thought provoking Technologic by the mega-group DAFT PUNK (hold your applause till the vid is finished)...

Incomplete Thoughts.......enjoy!

I wrote this on the fly....and it is incomplete.....I already have the final line worked up but I refuse to put it down till I complete this...till then, read what I have so far!

More than just windows to her soul....
It is the doorway to her heart....
A heart that is too complicated for a key...
But the right combination will unlock the chains she uses as barriers....
And reveal the treasures locked within to show you a living jewel in all its splendor....

More than just windows to her soul....
They are the aqueducts to her tears.....
Tears from the suffering she has befallen through the years.....
She has stood by our sides for this long....
Yet we still haven't aplogized...
We haven't peered through those windows to see her quivering....
To see tears from a woman fit to be Queen...
We have yet to peer into her soul to truly understand exactly what she means...
Apologize for calling her a bitch, when she gives us an attitude....
Be around when she needs us, instead of calling her when we are in the mood....
These eyes tell us more than we can ever begin to understand about her in the most amazing way...
They are instructions to how we should approach her...speak to her...even love her....
But we continually fuck this up and learn our lessons the hard way....
only reaching for her hand when she's slipping away...

More than windows to her soul....
She uses them as seductive instruments...
It doesn't matter who you are, one look and she can trap the best of men....
We look into them when the time is right....and we fall into them as bodies become one...
And she allows you access to her soul on those special nights...
Allows you access not just to her physical being, but to also make love to her mind...
So there is no need for a penis because the most important tool is your ear....
Pay attention to every detail....peer into those eyes...feel her moan...
It's really not about all the stuff we hear...because a deeper bond has just been created...

More than windows to her soul....They show me what heaven may be like

BoNkErS.................A Great Cartoon That Just Went Too Early...sob..

Every now and then, I think about what today's kids are missing......and I think back to a childhood of playing tag, man-hunt and cartoons that were....funny...anyway, heeeeeere's BONKERS!

MCM..........Don't Call It A Comeback

During its eighties heyday, MCM's logo-branded merch had a Vuitton-like appeal, at least among rappers, many of whom wore bootleg clothing emblazoned with the symbol (Eric B and Just-Ice come to mind). MCM lost its cachet here during the late nineties and early 2000s, but after a series of recent store launches in Asia (and a restoration of hip-hop's favor), it's poised for a comeback....even though I ask you not to call it that...

Fashon Alert...................Vein Wear.....I Got Nothing (Sorry)...

I usually come up with something catchy or whimsy in order to introduce a brand, but when they do such a great job........who am I to mess with genius? Words taken Directly from their website:

"The term “designer” is often
used loosely in the shoes, mens shoes, mens fashion industry, and certainly so by a
number of factories mass
producing male footwear that
copy the fashion leaders.
Vein does it differently. How
you’d expect true designer shoes to be created for you.
Each original design is sketched,
first as a conceptual, and then
worked and re-worked into final
drawings with graphite on paper.
Then, prototype dress shoes are
meticulously crafted. Drawn by
hand, made by hand."

Now that's creative.....enjoy!

Correction- ABC

As you all know, LuckysinLove embraces individuality, and nothing screams that more than THINKING (which seems to be a rare art)....Raquel Carter, a great thinker in my opinion has agreed to share her thoughts with LuckysinLove. I'm always impressed with the diversity of her thoughts.....enjoy!

"In recent news a broadcaster who was summarizing the election on ABC news stated the massive amount of emails that Obama's team had produced, as well as pages on facebook, and myspace that have accumulated millions of supporters and fans. They used all of this information to surmize that Obama won directly because "more people are using the internet". Well, ABC... Im quite sure that McCain had the same opportunity to publicize his candidacy. Being a democratic network, I was surprized to hear such a statement coming from ABC. Due to the syntax and overall story, it was said with no means of harm or bias. However, you can't just allow misinformation floating around about the correlation between "internet users" to the winning of government officials in a Presidential election, thats just absurd! Would it be fair to say that McCain lost then, because he doesnt know how to use a compter? No! So why would Obama swin soley on the amount of internet users? Did McCain not have the same opportunity? The same internet users that voted last election, and with continue voting the next.

Anyhoo... those are my two cents."

Merz- Lotus............sob at the Creativity....SiCkNeSs!

A great song by an incredible artist. It took me a while to get this video, but if you listen to the words as you watch it......timeless. If you still can't get it, here are the lyrics that helped me:

"we sit in cars
we sit in planes
you're dead right
for me

you're dead right
you're always right
you're on the right
side of me"

Fashion Update.................Nelli by Janice Jaraicie....Me Likes!

What I love about this brand is how it seems to fit on the model. Some of you are probably wondering what I mean.....well, this is a brand and style that seems to work well for the fully figured woman....the active woman....the ball player...the track and field star....The model is definately toned, and her shoulders show you that she stays active....yet the clothing sit so perfectly on her that her activity is not seen up front....just beauty lined with beautiful clothing.
But don't think Nelli is only for the active woman, because their website caters to all women and shows a sophistication and simplicity through color.....enjoy!

Check out the Fall collection byNELLI

Taken from Nelli's website:

"Born in Hong Kong, raised in both Saudi Arabia and Montreal, Canada, and having established the successful Nelli clothing line while living in San Diego, California; Janice Jaraicie’s dynamic make up has guided her creativity to be translated in the clothing she designs. Inspired by the classic elegance of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, and ingenuity of modern day divas Betsy Johnson and Carolina Herrera; Janice Jaraicie crafts with the feminine, confident, graceful woman in mind. A love for world travel, music, sports cars, and the ability to speak four languages, this glamour girl lives life to the fullest and has a talent that demands the attention of the fashion world. Quality natural fabrics such as silk, cotton, and wool blends are used to create the quality that allow for each piece to contour the female body; the epitome of comfort and style. Fashion trends are merely guidelines; individual taste for simplicity, sophistication, and style embody the elements of what is Nelli by Janice Jaraicie."
