New York Couture..........Oh Yes, I does this Mean!

"New York Couture is funky, fancy, fun to wear dresses, skirts, and tops. Each piece is hand cut, sewn, and detailed. 25-year-old designer Cassie K. is as unique as her designs. Imagine Betsy Johnson merging with Cyndi Lauper and Cassie’s eclectic designs come to mind".....this is some SICKNESS because not only has her work been worn by celebrities such as actress Leelee Sobieski, singer Lumidee, model/actress Vanessa Simmons (my future wife)....it reeeeeks of creativity! Pics are below, and don't forget the site people!

Fashion Spotlight: Nadia Nour.........."I put on for my City"

"Growing up in New York in the 80's, Nadia loved customizing her clothes and coordinating outfits with her friends. The trend at the time was to add personal touches to clothes. People got creative and colorful whether it was with bedazzlers, markers, tie-dye, patches, paint, or a pair of scissors. Nadia was struck by the idea that everyone could make their clothing their own and make a statement at the same time. Designing outfits for talent shows and school plays by deconstructing and repurposing clothing and household items became a natural source of fun for her"....I've been spotlighting new designers people aka "I'm putting y'all on some new ishh"...enjoy, and do remember to check out her site:

Harlequin Feltworks..........That First Word Sounds So Dirty, Doesn't It?

"There are various methods for making felt and the two most popular are needle-felting and wet-felting. Wet-Felting uses hot water to open the wool fiber, which looks a bit like a long pine-cone if seen through a microscope. The wool is then agitated, rolled or rubbed until it becomes densely tangled on itself ("felting"), at which point, it is rinsed and thrown ("fulling"), to make the fiber contract and to thicken the fabric. Felt is a durable material that is naturally stain-repellant and easy to maintain"....I know I was spazzing on people who jock chokers and scarves but this is art people....LuckyLovesArt!

Fashion Spotlight..........Lara Miller, "Killer Curves"

"A graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, designer Lara Miller began her career in fashion while still in school. After interning with the local designers Laurenceleste and Cynthia Ashby, Lara began showcasing her garments at Wicker Park’s clothing boutique......Lara Miller’s quest is to keep fashion fun by creating sophisticated clothing that allows women to feel comfortable at work or at play. Lara designed the trademark FLIP® Line that allows you to enjoy wearing a garment in a variety of ways and project your own style to the world. You may “flip” a breezy halter dress into a stylish skirt or wrapped knits into fluent body accessories".....This is actually from the Spring/ Summer 08 Collection which I find wonderful....check out the pics and do remember the link...

Fashion HELP for your Jeans.........Down with "Drag Pants"!

"Pants' Fix® is a brand new product, patented in 2003 which was rewarded during the Salon International des Inventions held in Geneva in 2004 and it offers new perspectives to the world of fashion and to ready-to-wear clothing."

A while back, my boy hump sent me this email about this product. As intriguing as it looked, I still was hesitant, that was until this weekend. I HATE seeing people walking around and letting any jeans roll under the heel of their footwear.....wtf people?.....this should only be left to distressed jeans, not your R&R denims....Well anyway, the product is called "Pants fix" and it is bought to you by David Nocelli, and I think its a great product for you "Drag-ends" (pronounced "Drah-Gen", a new Lucky Term)....enjoy the pics below, and don't forget the link:

Ladies, you do mess up too......this should help you as well....

You ever notice that the days you're sporting "Drag-ends" is the day you so happen to stumble on a filthy area?
