"In recent news a broadcaster who was summarizing the election on ABC news stated the massive amount of emails that Obama's team had produced, as well as pages on facebook, and myspace that have accumulated millions of supporters and fans. They used all of this information to surmize that Obama won directly because "more people are using the internet". Well, ABC... Im quite sure that McCain had the same opportunity to publicize his candidacy. Being a democratic network, I was surprized to hear such a statement coming from ABC. Due to the syntax and overall story, it was said with no means of harm or bias. However, you can't just allow misinformation floating around about the correlation between "internet users" to the winning of government officials in a Presidential election, thats just absurd! Would it be fair to say that McCain lost then, because he doesnt know how to use a compter? No! So why would Obama swin soley on the amount of internet users? Did McCain not have the same opportunity? The same internet users that voted last election, and with continue voting the next.

Some of you are probably wondering what I mean.....well, this is a brand and style that seems to work well for the fully figured woman....the active woman....the ball player...the track and field star....The model is definately toned, and her shoulders show you that she stays active....yet the clothing sit so perfectly on her that her activity is not seen up front....just beauty lined with beautiful clothing.

Ingwa; Melero is crafted by the design team of Nike Ingwa Clausing and Tina Hernaiz Melero. Nike and Tina’s love of design began as childhood friends in a small town in Germany. Inspired by their mothers’ handcrafting books from the 70’s, they began making their own clothes at an early age. Soon, their hobby became obsession and they spent all of their free time designing outfits for themselves and their friends.

Nike’s passion led her to study tailoring at an haute couture house in Hamburg, Germany. Emperial Nation was created in New York City in 2007 by a group of streetwear connoisseurs. The pioneers of this lifestyle brand noticed a demand in the marketplace for sophisticated and meaningful designs inspired by historical events. The EN movement is dedicated to preserve history through the arts and giving it a new life through modern eyes of people who want to change their world.

Emperial Nation's next tee collection will be hitting stores shortly. This seasons first group takes inspiration from the great Harlem Renaissance era. Take a trip uptown with these original pieces that include images of Jack "Galveston Giant" Johnson, Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington, and other strong images from that time in history.

To celebrate this release, Emperial Nation will be having it's very own release party, in collaboration with The Tastemakers Society, on October 16, 2008 at New York City's Gallery Bar located in the Lower East Side. This is an incredible work of art.......released in 2003, this film is basically the album "Discovery" (By Daft Punk) come to life...The film was produced by the creators of the Discovery album, along with Toei Animation, under the supervision of Leiji Matsumoto...In it, you'll hear classics like "One More Time" (which has somehow become the Playboy Mansion Anthem), and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"..I've always loved this, and I feel that I went on such a fashion overload this week, I must give you something else from my medulla luckygotta.....enjoy!

As you all know, LuckysinLove embraces creativity, and individuals (emphasis on this word btw). We don't post anyone or anything. With that, I'm posting a lil something on one of my favorite artist in the game (NY of course).

Ohio born but NY Bred,Charles Hamilton may be the most annoying guy on Earth, because try as you may, you're not getting rid of him. Recently signed to Interscope (thats right people), He's held the Information Superhighway for Ransom since early 08 and all he'll accept as payment.....your ears! Clever wordplay, and great skills in production, Charles Hamiltons name has been linked with words like genius, innovative, sick and with notable artist in the game....Thanks to Mel for hyping me up about this him because Hip Hop/ Rap isn't the first choice in the CD player, or on the playlist...I'd love to tell you more, but I rather Mr. Hamilton finish the job...(plus I'm crossing fingers and toes, wishing for an interview, dig?)

Harlequin Feltworks..........That First Word Sounds So Dirty, Doesn't It?

Wet-Felting uses hot water to open the wool fiber, which looks a bit like a long pine-cone if seen through a microscope. For the next three Saturdays, August 9th, 16th and 23rd, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., vehicle traffic will be replaced along seven miles of City streets by New Yorkers and visitors taking leisurely strolls, going for a bike ride or taking part in organized activities such as aikido, salsa dancing, tai-chi, running, rollerblading and hopscotch. I love when NYers put their heads together for the betterment of our beautiful City. I remember a time before the PS3 or the XBox 360 when all we had was a Nintendo (or for the rich kids, Super Nintendo)...which we only played during rainy days.....Joy was sought out on the court, blacktop, playgrounds....relay races and manhunt on the block.....this was before the world became insecure....before obescity became a disease and waaaaay before myspace and facebook.....we weren't glued to our seats then.....this is why this makes me so happy....I'll see you there!

So here's the story; My friends and I decide to go shopping last Thursday in downtown Sydney, Australia (in case I didn't tell you where we were)....Now, before we head to the shopping district, we make a stop at a popular spot in Chinatown (I have come to the conclusion that every country has a Chinatown)....the first spot at the mall we notice is a Japanese toy/ video store, and guess what Lucky eyes? Vinyls...Artistically wonderful Vinyls, and you all know how much I love Art, and the whole Japanese/ Manga culture...oh and they had swords as well (see me below in my Go Go Gadget coat)....now, since this was the first stop, I informed the store owner who was a very cool Japanese man that my intention was to purchase a few vinyls after I finish my mall shopping...he agrees, and we exchange info, and I move on.....Now at the end of our spree, I decided to head back and pick up the vinyls and maybe some anime (Naruto and Bleach people.....mind out the gutter)...The owner must've went to lunch, because I saw a lady that wasn't present before....So I approach the vinyls as a man of Asian/ Oriental descent was also looking at them....he chooses his, and as I pick one of my choices up and getting ready to pick another, the lady (store clerk) rushes to the glass display, takes the vinyl...shuts the glass door...zip...seals more than one lock apparently, and finally locks shut a bottom lock....I stood there in amazement, and said "You know what, I'm good"....Now you tell me what happened...was I a victim in this case or is it just me....I posted some nice pics of the shop below:

Man, I love when art brings out "the goods"...."The exhibition brings together 45 different artists who’ve designed a stunning selection of decks. Styles range from collage, graffiti, acrylic, oil, ink, silkscreen and photography to sculpture. Some of the big players in the show include Chuck Anderson (No Pattern), Nathan Fox, Leo Espinosa, Matt Gordon, Don Kilpatrick and John Breiner"(Shouts to DART) as well as Fernanda Cohen. The great thing is this event will be benefiting Stoked Mentoring, a non-profit sports organization for youth, which will receive fifty percent of the profits from gallery sales.....I know I'm late with the poster, but its never too late people....go show some love....if not for me, do it for you!

I hate and admire Josh Spear for the same reason as everyone else. The man is credited as being a trendspotter, but I look at him as a "guru". He put me on this sick piece by Tony Ariawan. "Ariawan, using a simple vector program (and a little help from Photoshop), turns photos into what we think is either a photon ballet or a very sexy update to Tron". I don't think there is another person in love with Tron more than me.....or Tony Ariawan.

So its almost 10pm om a Wednesday night and my family E and I are figure we actually see what kind of tv we can watch out here in Australia....NO BUENO....we are currently watching this low-budget, gore/ bloodbath injected movie that is supposed to be a hybrid of comedy and horror....this thing starts off with cannibals looking to kill this one dude....the blood looks just like NesQuik syrop....then it leads to the cannibals capturing homey to make soup of him....eventually some unknown dudes join the film as the eventual heroes....the movie even has a scene where the comic relief character wakes up with his brain leaking out the back of his head.....I'm gonna probably step out to shoot pool....I'll go into more detail later......

50 Shots Mean Nothing In A Court Of Law........

Officers of the NYPD are issued a 9mm Service pistol that fires in DAO (Double Action Only). Currently authorized pistols for new officers to select from include the SIG P226 (DAO), Smith & Wesson 5946 (DAO), and Glock 19 (All modified to a nominal 12 pound trigger pull). Senior officers who joined prior to 1993 are still authorized to carry Smith & Wesson Model 64 .38 Special Revolvers. Now during the Sean Bell incident, five of the seven officers investigating the club were involved in the shooting. Detective Paul Headley fired one round, Officer Michael Carey fired three, Officer Marc Cooper fired four, Officer Gescard Isnora fired eleven, and veteran officer Michael Oliver emptied two full magazines, firing 31 shots from a 9mm handgun and pausing to reload at least once.....Now I want you to read all that over again, and imagine all of these shots coming at you without returning fire....Have any of you seen a UC before....they're UNDERCOVER COPS...who is going to think of a gang of men (A gang is a group of individuals that share a common identity, even if that identity consists of little more than their association with one another. In early English usage, it referred to a group of workmen, and later underwent pejoration. ...) None of this was used in the case.....apparently the prosecution thought everything was cut and dry (I've seen this sort of bullshit happen too much)....Witness testimony not coinciding hurt, but lets think about it...OVER 50 SHOTS FIRED, AND NO RETURN BULLETS AT THE OFFICERS???....at least give them some time!

Now I've been scratching my head over this one and trying not to break into the race issue because of the color of the defense, but what happened to the issue of classism. Classism which is the systematic oppression of poor people and people who work for wages by those who have access to control of the necessary resources by which other people make their living. Classism is also held in place by a system of beliefs which ranks people according to economic status, "breeding," job and level of education. Classism says that upper class people are smarter and more articulate than working class and poor people. It is a way of keeping people down, and I refuse to dance around the "Give a nigga a Badge" theory.....some of you are scratching your nogs, but think about this; Are you usually backed into a corner by a white police officer, or a colored officer being accompanied by a white officer?.....Some say the race thing is too much Lucky, but I can't help it. we live in a society so blinded by it that you can't help it. A man that was tested to be drunk (after the fact) is in a verbal disagreement with a gang of men brandishing weapons, and you think he knows??? Now you give a black man a badge and you end up with this:

Don't get mad because I'm giving it to you in two ways. Yes, I disagree with the verdict, but No I will not join your fight....Now from the stands, I see all this going on and I refuse to join the "Wear Black" revolution or the "Fight the Power" cause on this one....I urge you all to do what they truly fear....Succeed. We are the last of a dying breed....Educated, Beautiful and full of Energy. Sean Bell was a star high school pitcher who only stopped playing to support his pregnant girlfriend.....I refuse to put on the militant gear of the past (wearing all black), and don the helmet of tomorrow (a graduation cap) because this can't be real.....A man cannot leave his house getting ready to say two of the most beautiful words he can say to a woman and have his life taken from him and nothing is done.....For those of you sending those text messages.....lets stop and think of something beyond the militant thoughts of revolution through protest and plotting to kill officers (I know you read that article as well).....Let's hit them where it hurts....Lets become what the they're not used to seeing.....lets step out of our class and create something new.....lets succeed and together we can create a world suitable for the likes of Sean's daughter, and for our future....

New York's Museum of Modern Art is currently showing "Take Your Time" Exhibit by highly decorated artist Olafur Eliasson....Eliasson born in 1967, a product of the wonderful place of Copenhagen (I know it sounds familiar...think people).He attended the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen from 1989 to 1995. He has participated in numerous exhibitions worldwide and his work is represented in public and private collections including the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum, New York, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Deste Foundation, Athens and Tate. Recently he has had major solo exhibitions at Kunsthaus Bregenz, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and ZKM (Center for Art and Media), Karlsruhe and represented Denmark in the 2003 Venice Biennale. He currently lives and works in Berlin. Now, you're gonna have to not miss this one because the show is already running (started on the 20th of April), and will run through June 30th......
